Billionaire Investor George Soros Makes Big Bet On Snap, Facebook, Goldman

Soros Fund Management – the hedge fund run by legendary American investor George Soros – boosted its holdings in Goldman Sachs, Snap, and Facebook in the first quarter of 2017, according to Investopedia.

Regulatory filings showed that Soros lifted his stake in investment bank Goldman Sachs by 40% to 86,000 shares in the first few months of 2017. Soros also purchased 1.7 million class A shares in Snap, the maker of disappearing messaging app Snapchat, and 638,000 class A shares of Facebook, raising his stake in the company by 80% in the last quarter.
